3 dry shampoo hacks that will CHANGE YOUR LIFE

Hey Friend!

Do you struggle with dry shampoo? Maybe you can't find one that works well for you, or maybe it just doesn't seem to do what you think it should? Maybe you're confused because it seems like every single person is obsessed with dry shampoo and you don't know why it's not working for you?

You're not alone. I hear it all the time!!

There are a lot of ways that you can use dry shampoo as well as a lot of ways that make it so it doesn't work as well. Here are my top three tips to completely change the way you use dry shampoo! These tips can work with just about any dry shampoo, but my favorite is Missio's Coconut Cleansing Powder!

1. Use dry shampoo on wash day!

The absolute best time to use dry shampoo is right after you've washed and styled your hair. Spritz a little bit on freshly washed, dried and styled hair. Spray at your roots and let it sit for at least five minutes, then use a comb to comb it through your hair.

By putting the dry shampoo in your hair when it's clean, it sits there and helps it to absorb the oil as it forms! It's easier to stop the oil from taking over your hair than to try to get rid of it when it's there.

2. Use your dry shampoo to add major volume and texture to your hair

Did you know that your dry shampoo can be used for more than absorbing oil? Flip your hair upside down and throw a bit of dry shampoo in. Give your hair a big shake and then flip it back up- INSTANT VOLUME and so much texture! My favorite way to do this is use Missio's Coconut Cleansing Powder. Shake a little bit of powder into your hand and then use the same technique!

3. Let the dry shampoo sit- AND DON'T TOUCH IT WITH YOUR FINGERS!

Most importantly, when you use dry shampoo, let it sit!! After you spray the dry shampoo in your hair, let it sit for at least five minutes before brushing it through. This allows it to absorb the oil. If you brush it out too quickly you'll find that you look greasier faster.

After you've let it sit, take a brush or (my favorite) a wide-tooth comb and comb it through your hair. My favorite way to do this is to hold the comb parallel with the floor and move it down in a zig-zag motion! This distributes the product through your hair evenly without disturbing your style.
